An interview with Ilyssa Panitz

One: I think the benefits of getting divorced when you are older include knowing, much more, who you are an may want to be.

Two: You are likely more established in your own career, your children may be older, and you are ready to test new waters too.

Three: If you have been a stay-at-home partner, it is more likely you are entitled to spousal support in a long-term marriage too. In sum, if you can feel financially secure, or create the path to that, you are likely already more confident in who you are as a person and feel less need to choose a next relationship that isn’t likely to succeed.

Four: In sum, you are a more confident you and can look to what’s next with the idea that you may not know exactly what’s next, but you are ready to face it!
