Your Journey

You have found the right place for practical advice,
real life de-escalation support, referrals to right fit professionals,
and tools for decision-making in Separation, Divorce and Co-Parenting.

Individuals

Divorce is a major life transition that deserves attention and care.

If you are faced with divorce or the death of a spouse, you may feel alone, confused and unsure of what’s next and what you need to do. But there are decisions to be made, conversations facilitated, financial implications to weigh…the list goes on.

Understanding all the steps and developing a plan of action is critical to feeling empowered and taking ownership of your new life. If you are fearful and avoidant in any of these areas, we can work together to shift your mindset for success.

You deserve to feel in control, organized, and confident during this challenging period and I will work with you to build strategies and tools to help you make better and fully informed decisions. The result will position you in a place of strength and clarity as you move forward. So, let’s get started!

(re)Frame your mindset and create an action plan before the process overtakes you

E

E

E

Couples

A strong relationship requires nurturing and attention and sometimes, additional support.

If you are having trouble in a marital relationship, or a co-parenting one, you may feel unheard, frustrated, or even completely disengaged. The lack of communication and miscommunications only serve to raise tensions until one or both parties escalate to full-blown fights. So begins a continued cycle because couples aren’t equipped with the tools to behave differently. You know the wise adage, “Don’t keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.” But what if you learned practical skills to better manage the struggles in your relationship, even after it has ended? I facilitate those difficult conversations and teach you how to do better with each other.

Coaching allows you to try something different in a very practical way. When I am coaching you, I will ask you to try something different than you may have done before. I will hold you gently accountable to the process to create a habit for success.

The difference between therapy and coaching is clear: I focus on practical tools to shift behavior. More specifically, I will give you a framework for progress.

Together we will:

E

Create an actionable plan routed in your values that identifies the shift needed in your everyday interactions with your partner; we will practice it and modify it as needed

E

Build an accountability approach that suits your needs with regular check-ins on what’s happening

E

Prepare for challenging communication topics like money, custody, division of assets with tools on how to discuss each with your partner

E

Weigh the difficult decision of whether to divorce

E

Work through the best ways to talk to your children about divorce

CO-PARENTS

Create a plan to make the transition better for you and your children.

While divorce signifies the end of your marital relationship, when there are children involved, you will need to redefine your relationship as co-parents. This can be especially difficult if you and your former spouse carry your past conflict into this new stage.

Divorce is a major life transition but does not have to define, in a negative way, the rest of your life. You will need to set aside your differences and change your mindset to put your child(ren) at the center. This change requires tools to be able to communicate day-to-day with your former spouse in order to best meet you child(ren)’s needs. It may feel impossible and you may not know where to start because you’re still reeling from your divorce.

I will enter this messy period as an objective thinking partner who will help you decide how to frame important decisions that will serve you and your children now and well into the future. We will work one on one as well as a team with your former spouse to create the best co-parenting solution for your situation.

Together we will:

E

Create personalized Parenting Plans that define your custody schedule and how together you make decisions about and for your child(ren)

E

Meet individually and as a family unit to ensure all voices are heard and we build a plan that takes into account all sides.

E

Determine the best approach for talking to your children about your divorce and working through their reaction

E

Build the skills you need to navigate conflict resolution and positive communication practices with your former spouse

E

Implement neutral communication with your former partner to serve you and your Child(ren).
