Between Sessions is a national peer community for the professionals who guide families through divorce: attorneys, mediators, coaches, therapists and financial professionals. It exists because this work is heavy, the questions are rarely simple, and the best thinking in our field happens when trusted colleagues can talk honestly with each other.
I’m Cherie Morris. I’m a divorce and conflict coach, I hold a J.D., I’m a CDC Certified Divorce Coach, and I teach in the CDC High Conflict Divorce Coaching certification program. I host Between Sessions, and it’s some of the work I’m proudest of.
Where it comes from
Between Sessions grew out of a Friday consult group run by Karen Bonnell, the co-parenting expert and author of The Co-Parenting Handbook. When Karen retired, she entrusted the community to me with a charge to expand it into something national.

What happens inside
A live meeting every month with a guest expert. Recent conversations have covered somatic strategies for high-conflict co-parenting and working with the highly sensitive client. A weekly guiding question keeps the conversation moving between meetings. And the heart of it: honest case consultation among people who understand the work. One detail members value most, we record only the speaker portion of meetings, never the group discussion, so the conversation stays candid.
Who it’s for
If you work with separating or divorcing families in any professional capacity, you’re welcome, whether you’ve been at this for decades or are just building your practice. There’s no fee to join or participate.
